Dan Green – What a Dish!
Dan Green was originally a fat teenager who, at the age of 18, started a three-year diet that transformed his life and left him four stones lighter.
He was spotted by a top modelling agency and his career took off. Dan spent the next few years travelling all over the world and modelled for some of the top fashion brands.
Dan decided to turn his back on modelling in order to help others change their lives through healthy eating.
When he was dieting, he had developed a passion for cooking and for making gourmet meals using fresh and healthy alternatives to cream, butter and other fattening products.
“The real battle for most people isn’t losing weight – it’s keeping it off,” says Dan. “More than 90 per cent of people who lose weight put it back on again. So, I don’t describe what I did as a diet. I changed the way I eat – and I’ve never gone back.”
He entered his recipes in a competition to find a top TV chef. He impressed the judges so much that they declared him the winner. Since then, his simple, healthy recipes have been featured in several magazine, including Self magazine in America, and he has compiled a range of low-fat recipes to suit everyone.
